About Us

Kiwanis International

Kiwanis International is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a time.

Kiwanis is devoted to the principle of service; to the advancement of individual, community, and national welfare; and to the strengthening of international goodwill.

We are the worlds premier organization engaging adult and youth volunteers to improve the quality of life worldwide.  As a thriving organization of volunteers, we are dedicated to serving the children of the world and improving the quality of life worldwide.

Kiwanis works to develop future generations of leaders through our Service Leadership Programs, providing leadership development opportunities for students at every stage of life, from elementary schools to university.  These programs promote personal growth and community building for a broad spectrum of students, allowing them to form enduring friendships, while building better communities for generations to come.

Kiwanis-family membership spans the globe, with more than 600,000 members in more than 13,000 clubs in 80 countries. Kiwanis clubs alone give on average $70 million and 6.5 million volunteer hours for community service each year.

Calgary Northmount Kiwanis

Calgary Northmount Club was chartered in 1957.

The Northmount Kiwanis Club helps the disadvantaged in our city focusing mainly on children; and provides our members the opportunity of helping the children of the world in an environment of fun and fellowship.

Northmount is a diverse group of men and women from various age brackets, cultures and religions.  We typically meet three times a month for supper meetings, volunteer outing or speaker events.

The Northmount Kiwanis family also includes sponsoring a Circle K Club (University ages),  a Key Club (High School) and an Aktion Club (involving those living with disabilities.)
