Projects

Christmas Toy Project

For the past twenty seven years members of the Northmount Kiwanis Club have helped thousands of children from disadvantage families shop for their very own Christmas presents. In many cases these may be the only gifts these children receive. They also experience getting their picture with Santa, face painting and a grab bag of essentials. Working with local social agencies over 675 children under the age of 14 attended the festivities last year.

Accessible Playgrounds

We believe that playgrounds should be accessible to children of all level of abilitiy and have contributed to the creation of over 7 handicap accessible playgrounds

Feeding the Hungry

Kiwanis Northmount support both the Calgary Drop In Center and St Mary's Feed the Hungry

CKI - University Leadership

Circle K International (CKI) is the premier collegiate and university community service, leadership development, and friendship organization in the world. Northmount Kiwanis is proud to sponsor the Mt Royal University and University of Calgary CKI Clubs.

Key Club International is the high school organization sponsored by Kiwanis International. Key Club assists Kiwanis in carrying out its mission to serve the children of the world.  Northmount Kiwanis is pleased to partner with Centennial High School student members of Key Club performing acts of service in their communities, such as charity garage sales, collecting clothing and organizing food drives.

Through The Eliminate Project, Kiwanis International and UNICEF have joined forces to eliminate maternal and neonatal tetanus—a deadly disease that steals the lives of 34,000 innocent babies and a significant number of women each year.

Kiwanis Northmount is proud to have to have donated $100,000 to eliminating maternal and neonatal tetanus
